Nathan's academic accomplishments are nothing short of amazing! In addition, he plays four instruments, leads worship at his church, and is a third degree black belt! He will be majoring in Aerospace Engineering. He even has his own telescope!

High school seniors are so fun to work with!  I love to attend and photograph their sport, music or extra curricular activities when I can during their final year of high school.  This year I was able to attend the graduation ceremony at Crystal Lake South High School and photograph some of our wonderful Tonya Pro Seniors!  

A message to our 2011 SENIOR clients:  If you ever wonder whether you have what it takes to succeed, just remember this moment with all the love and pride that surround you as you graduate!  You've got an amazing future ahead of you!  Thank you for the privilege of being part of your senior year!

Lauren | Crystal Lake IL High School Senior Photographer

Lauren's participation in Choir and Drama during her high school years really showed during her session.  She was comfortable and very easily managed different poses and emotions I suggested.  Her ballet experience over the years also played a role as she beautifully pointed her toes for some very elegant portraits.  At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lauren will major in Special Education to work with children with special needs.

Emily | Crystal Lake IL High School Senior Photographer

Buzzzzzzz!  At the start of Emily's session, I leaned on a tree and got stung by a bee!  OUCH!

Emily will be attending college in Arizona and is looking forward to the warm, dry weather.  A big part of her high school years have been spent as the manager for the D155 swim team.  She did a fantastic job, and at the year-end banquet, you could tell that all of the guys on the team have a lot of respect and appreciation for her.  Emily loves the outdoors, and we had a beautiful (HOT!) day for it!

Even though he had recently been sick, Joe really ROCKED his senior portrait session! He's got some serious modeling skills! Check out this intensity!

Tobias - Class of 2011 | Crystal Lake Senior Photographer

Tobias is brother to Yvonne, whose senior portraits I photographed last year.  I love being there for families and all of the important events in their lives.  Tobias has been homeschooled and taking collage courses at MCC during his senior year.  He plans to continue his education at MCC for another year or two.  Tobias was a lot of fun during his session and it definitely shows in his portraits!

Caitlyn - Class of 2011 | Crystal Lake Senior Photographer

Caitlyn is a very hard-working and motivated young woman. She finished all of her high school classes in 2010 and is now a successful sales rep for Lia Sophia. She loves her two dogs, Roxy and Ruby, and her boyfriend of 3 years, Dayne. She was referred to us by another Tonya Pro Senior you might remember, Nina. Even though we almost froze our buns off during the shoot, Caitlyn maintained her playful energy and smiled like a professional model all through the session!

Michelle - Class of 2011 | Crystal Lake Senior Photographer

The weather was not looking great earlier in the day, but we held out until the last minute and decided to go!  Michelle's session was our first outdoor senior portrait this spring, and it was wonderful to go out on location with her!  This was also our first session where we videotaped some footage to enhance the client slideshow (check it out here).   Michelle's natural beauty, enthusiasm and joy gave us so much to work with! It was really hard to put the camera down!

Keira Knightley, Kim Kardashian and Eva Longoria all rolled into one! Nellie has got the looks and the modeling skills to boot! What a cutie!

Nellie is a vocalist and has enjoyed participating in musicals during her last year at high school. She will be attending University of Kentucky in the fall. Both of her sisters attend the University of Iowa but Nellie wants to "blaze her own trail." Rock on, Nellie! :)

Natalie is such a bright and beautiful young lady! She arrived at her DESIGN SESSION just busting with ideas! Her creativity really inspired us and we ended up with lots of great, diverse images! Here are just a few!
