Benjamin - 6 Months | Crystal Lake Child Photographer

Benjamin is such a joy!  We bumped up his 6-month session by a couple weeks because his Daddy got a new job with television station WLKY - 32 in Louisville, Kentucky, and quickly had to relocate.  They will be back to visit around his 9-month session!  Wishing Benjamin and his family a happy new home in Kentucky with lots of visits back here in Illinois!

Lauren | Crystal Lake IL High School Senior Photographer

Lauren's participation in Choir and Drama during her high school years really showed during her session.  She was comfortable and very easily managed different poses and emotions I suggested.  Her ballet experience over the years also played a role as she beautifully pointed her toes for some very elegant portraits.  At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lauren will major in Special Education to work with children with special needs.

Emily | Crystal Lake IL High School Senior Photographer

Buzzzzzzz!  At the start of Emily's session, I leaned on a tree and got stung by a bee!  OUCH!

Emily will be attending college in Arizona and is looking forward to the warm, dry weather.  A big part of her high school years have been spent as the manager for the D155 swim team.  She did a fantastic job, and at the year-end banquet, you could tell that all of the guys on the team have a lot of respect and appreciation for her.  Emily loves the outdoors, and we had a beautiful (HOT!) day for it!

Michelle - Class of 2011 | Crystal Lake Senior Photographer

The weather was not looking great earlier in the day, but we held out until the last minute and decided to go!  Michelle's session was our first outdoor senior portrait this spring, and it was wonderful to go out on location with her!  This was also our first session where we videotaped some footage to enhance the client slideshow (check it out here).   Michelle's natural beauty, enthusiasm and joy gave us so much to work with! It was really hard to put the camera down!

Joseph's 3-Month Session | Crystal Lake Newborn & Child Photographer

Can you believe Baby Joseph is already three months old?! Time flies so fast! What a handsome, alert little boy!

Even though we always allow time for Mama and Baby to take breaks to cuddle/feed during these sessions, we inevitably get at least one diva moment from our babies. After all, it's very hard work being a model!

Working with babies can be challenging but we love it none the less! Little Joseph recovered with a smile and finished out his session like a champ. Look at him flirting with the camera!

It is so important to document these precious moments in a child's life because they only come around once.  We at Tonya Pro Photography consider it a privilege and a blessing to be able to capture these moments!

George's 6-Month Session | Crystal Lake Newborn, Child & Family Photographer

Baby George brought this two big brothers, Andrew & Colton, to his 6-month session.  Three handsome boys in the studio at one time!  Plus Daddy gave George an airplane ride that he loved!

Bart & Collin - 9 Months Old

These two handsome boys were so much fun today!  Bart & Collin are now 9 months old, and I have been photographing them since they were born!  What a joy!  These two are on the move, and usually in opposite directions.  This kept all of us (Mary, their Mom, Emily and Abbey) moving for the entire session.  It was so much fun! 

Twin Time!

Bart and Collin, adorable identical twins, were born on September 7, 2009; and I have the privilege of photographing them during the first year of their life. What a blessing! I have yet to meet their three older siblings (can't wait), but their Dad and Mom are amazing!

Bart is a sweet little sleeper who makes a melodic cooing sound that I love. Collin likes to stretch and is awake more because he doesn't want to miss anything with his big, beautiful eyes. Both were almost exactly the same size at birth: 6 lb. 10 oz and 20 inches long. What a healthy pair born at 37 weeks.
I can't tell you how much I have loved photographing them over the past couple of weeks. They have brought such joy to my days! You'll be seeing a lot of photographs of Bart and Collin over the next year! Stay tuned! :)

Vicki - Class of 2010

Vicki is such a talented softball player! She plays on two travel teams as well as her high school team! I think her career choice to teach others about sports is terrific! Although Vicki was less talkative than some seniors, we had a great time during her session. I even got her to laugh with a little dance behind my tripod! Vicki, thank you for allowing me to photograph you during this very important time of your life. You are a beautiful young lady, and I really enjoyed our time together. Go NORTHERN ICE! Go GATORS!

Austin - Class of 2010

I'm continually impressed with high school seniors these days! Austin is no exception. He is active in cross country, has a part-time job and works hard to earn high grades in school. It was great to learn more about him during his senior portrait session. What a bright future ahead for this young man!
